Termination of the validity period of temporary measures against foreign citizens

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 364 dated 06/15/2021, until September 30, 2021, decisions on administrative expulsion from the territory of the Russian Federation, on deportation or undesirability of stay (residence) in the Russian Federation, on shortening the period of temporary stay are not made with respect to foreign citizens and stateless persons residing in the territory of the Russian Federation in the Russian Federation.

In this regard, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation recommended that foreign citizens settle their legal status before September 30, 2021, as otherwise they will begin to "apply administrative measures". On the agency's website, it is reported that "on September 30, 2021, the deadline expires, according to which foreign citizens and stateless persons who arrived in the Russian Federation before March 15, 2020 and do not have as of June 16, 2021. legal grounds for staying in the Russian Federation, as well as those who have not left the territory of the Russian Federation in connection with the resumption of transport links with the states of which they are citizens or in which they have the right of permanent residence, can contact the migration units."
