Entry into the Russian Federation through third countries

In accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated 04/14/2021 No. 963-r (hereinafter referred to as the "Order"), citizens of foreign states, as well as persons entitled to reside in countries with which air communication is open, can enter the territory of the Russian Federation by air, now including through third countries.

Entry is possible only through foreign States included in Government Order No. 635-R. At the moment, these include: Germany, Switzerland, Egypt, Maldives, UAE, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Republic of Korea, Cuba, Serbia, Japan, Seychelles, Ethiopia, Vietnam, India, Qatar, Finland, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Greece, Singapore, Venezuela, Syria, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Sri Lanka- Lanka.

The list of countries also includes the United Kingdom, Tanzania and Turkey, but air traffic with these countries has been temporarily suspended.

In addition, this change also applies to citizens and persons entitled to permanent residence in Belarus, who can also enter the Russian Federation through air checkpoints from foreign countries specified in Government Decree No. 635-R.

Earlier, citizens of foreign countries with whom international communication was resumed could enter the Russian Federation only from the country of their citizenship.
