An electronic visa is issued free of charge. The period for issuing an electronic visa is no more than 4 calendar days from the date of submission of the completed application.
You can fill out an e-visa application on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation no earlier than 20 days and no later than 4 days before the expected date of entry into Russia.
At the moment, an electronic visa can be issued for visiting:
Kaliningrad region;
Of the Far Eastern Federal District.

It is possible to travel on an electronic visa only within the territory of one subject of the Russian Federation to which entry was made. The permitted period of stay in the Russian Federation on an electronic visa is up to 8 days.
Electronic visas can be of the following categories: ordinary business (the purpose of the trip is business), ordinary tourist (the purpose of the trip is tourism), ordinary humanitarian (the purpose of the trip is sports ties, cultural ties, scientific and technical ties).
From October 1, 2019, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 347 of July 18, 2019, it will be possible to visit St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region with electronic visas. The Government of the Russian Federation has been instructed to develop a list of foreign countries whose citizens will be able to enter St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region on an electronic visa.
