The government has extended the deadline for notifying employees about electronic workbooks

Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 887 dated 06/19/2020 established a new deadline for notifying employees about the possibility of switching to electronic workbooks. Due to the long period of remote operation of most Russian companies, the previous deadline (June 30, 2020) was extended until October 31, 2020.

At the same time, the employer can fix the method of notification in local regulations, taking into account the opinion of the representative body of employees (if any).

In turn, employees must wait until December 31, 2020.submit to the employer an application for the preservation of a paper work record or for the maintenance of a work record in electronic form.
