Russia and Belarus signed an agreement on mutual recognition of visas

On June 19, 2020, the Foreign Ministers of Russia and Belarus signed an agreement on mutual recognition of visas.

The agreement provides that foreign citizens who have received a visa from one country will be able to enter, leave and stay on the territory of the other party during the validity period of the visa, crossing the border by rail or air transport and along the main highways. At the same time, each of the countries reserves the right to refuse entry to third-country nationals or shorten their stay on its territory.

In addition, the agreement provides for the integration of information resources, which will allow the exchange of information about border crossings, issued and cancelled visas and permits for temporary or permanent residence.
